More on Media Bistro. . .
There was a great turnout for “The Secrets Behind Publishing”, hosted by Media Bistro in the amazing and historic Great Hall at Cooper Union. Moderator Susan Shapiro kept the discussion moving at a rapid pace, clarified and reiterated important points the panelists made, and covered a broad range of topics. The panelists shared insights and perspectives of value to any writer, from the novice to the seasoned pro. We recommend Shapiro’s book Only as Good as Your Word: Writing Lessons From My Favorite Gurus. Sue is an amazingly generous person, with a true dedication to supporting and assisting other writers. We also picked up a copy of panelist Betsy Lerner’s book, The Forest for the Trees, which promises to be a delightful read and should crackle with the same dry wit and honesty that left the audience guffawing many times last night.
